Client Policy

The short version: clear expectations make for relaxed sessions. Here’s how booking with Yared Studio works. Your signed contract always has the final word over this page.

1. Booking and Retainer

  • Your date is reserved only after signed contract and 25% non-refundable retainer.
  • No dates are held without retainer payment.
  • Remaining balance is due no later than 7 days before the event date unless stated otherwise in contract.

2. Rescheduling and Cancellation

  • One reschedule is allowed when written notice is provided and the new date is available.
  • Retainer remains non-refundable, but may transfer to a new date once within 6 months.
  • Client cancellations after booking forfeit the retainer.

3. Coverage Scope

  • Coverage time, locations, and deliverables are defined in each signed contract.
  • Yared Studio leads one medium at a time (photo or video) to maintain quality.
  • If both photo and video are requested, trusted partner coverage may be coordinated.

4. Delivery Timeline

  • Preview images are typically sent within a few days when possible.
  • Final gallery delivery windows vary by event type and season and are confirmed in contract.
  • All delivered files are high-resolution and suitable for personal printing and sharing.

5. Usage Rights

  • Clients receive personal-use rights for delivered files.
  • Commercial, paid publication, or resale usage requires written permission.
  • Yared Studio retains copyright unless explicitly transferred in writing.

6. Travel and Timing

  • DMV-area travel is included for most standard sessions and event coverage.
  • Extended travel outside the DMV, parking, tolls, and permit fees may apply for select venues.
  • Because of weekday work schedule, most portrait sessions are booked for weekday evenings and weekends.
  • Wedding and event dates are prioritized and scheduled based on coverage timeline and availability.
